Mountain hut
A mountain hut is a manned or unmanned building in less accessible nature areas. In manned huts you usually pay a fee to stay for the night, ranging from around €7 to €70 in Europe.
Unmanned huts are almost always free and provide very basic shelter and supplies.
Costs
Manned mountain huts have a discount for members of a mountaineering federation. Membership is usually around €40-70/year.
