orfu is very warm and beautiful during the summer. Around June-August you often don't have any rainy days at all. Winters at island can be rainy though.
It's quite touristic as all the Greek islands, but you can still find plenty of nature spots without crowds and especially Kerkyra can have quite local feel, depending on the street/district.

Transport
You have one option to Albania and two to Greece, but distance between Igoumenitsa and Sarandë is so short, you can easily hitch it.
Here are the boats from expensive to cheapest:
From Kerkyra to Sarandë (Albania). It doesn't go very often. It's best to call Ionian Cruises . Off season their boats leave at 9:00 AM but you have to be at their office at Ethnikis Antistaseos 4 at least 40 minutes before the boat leaves. The boat can be a bit rough when there's wind.
From Kerkyra to Igoumenitsa (Greece)

You can buy tickets from Kerkyra harbour kiosks before the gates.
Accommodation & Wild Camping
Hospitality exchange can be hard in Corfu during high season (everybody is full).

It's said wild camping is not tolerated in Corfu. However, generally you can do it as long as there are no bars or umbrellas for rent at the beach. You don't even need to pitch a tent, its extremely hot in Corfu so nobody can accuse you for "camping". Though in some places there're a lot of tiny annoying mosquitos. It might be good idea to stay further away from hotels when camping.
