Corfu
Transport
To take a boat to Sarandä, Albania it's best to call Ionian Cruises at +30 26610 25155. Off season their boats leave at 9:00 AM but you have to be at their office at Ethnikis Antistaseos 4 at least 40 minutes before the boat leaves. The boat can be a bit rough when there's wind. Tickets are 19 euro. It's cheaper (and easier) to get to Igoumenitsa, but it's not straightforward to get from Igoumenitsa to Sarandä.

Accommodation
Couchsurfing/BeWelcome can be hard in Corfu.
It's said wild camping is not tolerated in Corfu (one could try though!) but instead of expensive hotels/hostels you can go camping/bungalow:
You could also ask for rooms around from locals (price for these?)
Also AirBNB can be cheaper.
Corfu city/Kerkyra is not likely to have budged accommodation.

You can probably find an interesting crowd of people (including folks who are happy to host) at the Polytechno club.
