Trains are a form of transport in (almost) all countries in the world. As one can expect, rates, speeds and quality standards will differ greatly from country to country! There is also the concept of Freighthopping, freight train hopping, or simply as train hopping.

A cheap way to get around by train in Europe during a certain period of time might be via Interrail.
