Public transport

Blackriding

You can blackride easily, never seen controllers before. When you get a ticket for $2.50 (2018) that is valid for 90min, the bus driver will give you a transit pass. If you keep it, you can use it as much as you since most of the drivers don't seem to look what time is written there. They are from different colors and I don't know if it for the day or something else...

Buses Halifax Transit

You have to put $2.50 with the exact change in the box next to the driver. Then he can give you a transit pass if you need it (90min). You can use Google Maps for the live departures.

Ferry Service to Dartmouth

There is a ferry going to Alderney terminal and Woodside terminal on the opposite side of the river. You can you the ticket for both ferry and buses.

Walking

As the city center is quite small, everything around is accessible within 30min walking distance.
